Wellbeing:

In the school year 2023-2024 Ballaghkeene NS, under the guidance of Ms. Wright, began the application process for our first Amber Flag. The Amber Flag is awarded to schools that strive to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in their school community.

Our Wellbeing Committee for 2023-2024 consisted of pupils from 3rd-6th class. Members included; Tara Mc Ginley, Hallie Fortune, Zara Britton, Laura Pettit, Sophie Sludds, George O’Connor, Conor Breen, Callie Foley Fortune, Caitlyn Kavanagh, Leah Murphy, Annabelle Ormonde, Rhys Leacy, Tommy Maguire, Ali Harris, Evan Walsh, Ryan Sinnott, and Ryan Deegan.

The committee ran several activities throughout the year. However, our two main events were the 'Friendship Week' in February and 'Wellbeing Week' in June. Well done to the pupils who volunteered and got involved.

Easter Camp:

Ballaghkeene NS will facilitate the running of an Easter Camp from Monday 25th-Thursday 28th March 2024. Activities will include baking, board games, arts and crafts, multisports, lego, drama, dance, coding, and much more. Contact Ms. Wright via email for more information.
