Mission Statement

Ballaghkeene N.S. aims to provide a happy, secure, friendly learning environment, where children, parents, teachers, support staff and Board of Management work in partnership, where each individual is valued, encouraged and respected for his/ her uniqueness and facilitated to reach his/her full potential in a positive, supportive and Christian atmosphere.


Ballaghkeene N.S. will strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the professional and personal development of teachers through staff development programmes.
Ballaghkeene N.S. will encourage the involvement of Parents through home/school contacts and through their involvement in the school's Parents’ Association.


Ballaghkeene N.S. will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, to imbue in the pupils, respect for people and property and to encourage in them the idea of being responsible.


Ballaghkeene N.S. is committed to providing a learning environment which is free from discrimination, threats, bullying and/ or harassment for all our staff and pupils. In a caring and respectful way, Ballaghkeene N.S. will affirm each person’s self-worth and dignity and provide a child-centred education that nurtures the strengths, talents and potential of all.
